    Product Description

    Hispolon is a phenol originally isolated from I. hispidus that has diverse biological activities.1,2,3 It scavenges superoxide and hydroxyl radicals in cell-free assays, as well as reduces LPS-induced production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in RAW 264.7 cells when used at concentrations of 5 and 10 µM.2 Hispolon (60-80 µM) inhibits cell proliferation and induces apoptosis in C6 rat glioma and DBTRG-05MG human glioblastoma cells.1 Hispolon (5 and 10 mg/kg) reduces tumor volume in a DBTRG-05MG mouse xenograft model. It also reduces acetic acid-induced writhing in mice when administered at a dose of 20 mg/kg.3
