    Product Description

    UT-11 is an inhibitor of microsomal prostaglandin E synthase-1 (mPGES-1).1 It inhibits PGE2 production in both SK-N-AS human neuroblastoma and BV-2 mouse microglial cells (IC50s = 0.1 and 2 µM, respectively). UT-11 (10 mg/kg, i.p.) reduces LPS-induced increases in a variety of cytokines, including chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 2 (CCL2), IL-6, and TNF-α, in the mouse hippocampus, but not kidney, without affecting the mRNA expression of Cox2.
