Guanosine-5'-O-triphosphoro-γ-1-(5-sulfonic acid)naphthylamidate (GTP-γ-AmNS) is a fluorescent derivative of GTP (Item No. 16060).1,2 It has been used as a substrate for snake venom phosphodiesterases (PDEs) and to monitor tubulin assembly in cell-free assays. GTP-γ-AmNS diplays an emission maximum of 444 nm upon excitation at 320 nm, which is quenched by 1.2-1.4-fold upon cleavage of the α-β phosphoryl bond.1
