    Product Description

    LGD 2226 is an androgen receptor agonist.1 It induces reporter activation in a reporter assay using CV-1 cells expressing human androgen receptors (EC50 = 0.2 nM). LGD 2226 (10 mg/kg per day) increases prostate and levator ani muscle weight in orchidectomized (ORDX) rats.2 It increases bone mineral density and breaking strength and decreases periosteal mineral apposition and bone formation rates in ORDX rats when administered at doses of 3 or 10 mg/kg per day. LGD 2226 increases mounting behavior and the number of intromissions and ejaculations in ORDX rats.
