    AbK is an unnatural amino acid1 It has been incorporated into proteins via a modified aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase and used to cross-link proteins in bacteria or mammalian cells.1,2 It has been incorporated into the RNA-binding protein iron regulatory protein 1 (IRP1) and used in the study of RNA-protein interactions in vitro.2
