Limonin 17-β-D-glucopyranoside is a furanolactone that has been found in C. reticulata and has anticancer activity.1,2 It induces apoptosis and disrupts the mitochondrial membrane potential in SW480 colon adenocarcinoma cells when used at a concentration of 100 µM.1 Limonin 17-β-D-glucopyranoside inhibits the proliferation of MDA-Panc-28 pancreatic adenocarcinoma cells (IC50 = 20.49 µM).2
