Baccatin VI is a taxane that has been found in T. baccata and has microtubule-stabilizing and antinociceptive activities.1,2 It inhibits cold-induced microtubule depolymerization with half-maximal inhibitory dose (ID50) values of 70 and 100 µM for isolated porcine brain and P. polycephalum microtubules, respectively.1 Baccatin VI decreases p-benzoquinone-induced writhing in mice when administered at a dose of 30 mg/ml.2
