Myomodulin A is a gastropod neuropeptide.1 It is found in gastropod ventral lobe neurons, neural elements of the accessory radula closer (ARC) muscle, and penis nerve.1,2,3 Myomodulin A is biosynthesized by ARC motor neurons in A. californica and potentiates motor neuron-elicited contractions of the A. californica buccal mass ARC.2 Myomodulin A also increases the relaxation rate of electrically evoked muscle contractions in L. stagnalis penis retractor muscle.3
