    Product Description

    Pep2 peptide is a peptide ligand for the transmembrane glycoprotein CD36, also known as scavenger receptor B2.1 It selectively binds to CD36 over human serum albumin (HSA), IgG, and CD44 in a cell-free assay when used at a concentration of 1 mM. Pep2 peptide-functionalized micelles encapsulating the anticancer agent doxorubicin (Item No. 15007) increase cellular delivery of doxorubicin and enhance cellular toxicity in CD36-overexpressing HepG2 hepatocellular carcinoma cells compared with micelles lacking Pep2 peptide.
