    PF-00489791 is an inhibitor of phosphodiesterase 5A (PDE5A; IC50 = 1.9 nM).1 It does not cross the blood-brain barrier in rats. PF-00489791 (10 mg/kg) improves motor scores in a rat model of stroke induced by middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO).
