    Product Description

    ABT-100 is an inhibitor of farnesyltransferase (FTase).1 It inhibits Ras farnesylation but not Rap1A geranylgeranylation in HepG2 and Huh7 cells when used at a concentration of 20 µM. ABT-100 (2-20 µM) inhibits the proliferation of the same cells. In vivo, ABT-100 (39 mg/kg per day) increases body weight and percent survival, improves grip strength, and decreases the number of rib fractures in a Zmpste24-/- mouse model of progeria.2
