    SBI-797812 is an activator of nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (Nampt).1 It increases nicotinamide (NMN) levels and prevents NAD+ feedback inhibition in a cell-free assay using recombinant human Nampt when used at a concentration of 2 µM. In vivo, SBI-797812 (20 mg/kg) increases liver levels of NAD+ but does not affect NAD+ levels in the heart, quadriceps, or gastrocnemius in mice.
