    IHCH-7079 is a β-arrestin-biased agonist of the serotonin (5-HT) receptor subtype 5-HT2A (Ki = 16.98 nM).1 It reduces the time spent immobile in the tail suspension and forced swim tests in mice in a model of acute restraint stress-induced depression when administered at a dose of 10 mg/kg, and this effect can be blocked by the 5-HT2A receptor antagonist MDL100907 (volinanserin; Item No. 15936). IHCH-7079 (2 and 10 mg/kg) does not induce the head-twitch response in mice, indicating a lack of hallucinogenic potential.
