CTX-1211 is a peptide agonist of melanocortin receptors.1 It increases intracellular cAMP levels in cells expressing melanocortin receptor 1 (MC1R), MC3R, or MC4R (EC50s = 6.2, 3.9, and 2.7, nM, respectively). CTX-1211 (1 mg/kg) sensitizes male and female mice to reductions in food intake and body weight induced by liraglutide (Item No. 24727) but with a lower effect on food intake in female mice.2
