    TOAC is a nitroxyl amino acid and spin label.1,2 It incorporates a stable nitrogen radical into peptide backbones, which allows it to function as an intrinsic reporter during electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy, and has been used to study peptide structural dynamics.
