    Product Description

    Ps-Tac is a cell-permeable quenched fluorescent probe for the detection of glutathione S-transferase π 1 (GSTP1) activity in live cells. It is selective for GSTP1 over 18 GST subtypes in MCF-7 cells expressing the recombinant human enzymes. Ps-Tac is composed of a fluorescein derivative protected by the GSTP1 substrate 5-mesyl-2-nitrobenzanilide.1 Upon glutathionylation by GSTP1, nitrite is released, and the fluorescence of the unquenched glutathionylated fluorescein derivative can be quantified using excitation/emission maxima of 493/510 nm, respectively.
