    Product Description

Mucin 17 (MUC17) is a member of the mucin family.1 It is composed of an N-terminal tandem repeat domain, which contains O- and N-linked glycosylation sites, two EGF-like domains, a SEA module, a transmembrane region, and a short C-terminal cytoplasmic domain.1,2 MUC17 is alternatively expressed as a membrane-bound- or secreted protein.2 Membrane-bound MUC17 is predominantly expressed in the small intestine and colon by absorptive epithelial cells.1,3 The levels of MUC17 are increased in tumor tissue from patients with colon adenocarcinoma.3 Cayman's MUC17 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (Clone RM517) can be used for immunohistochemistry (IHC).
