CDX2 is a member of the caudal-related homeobox transcription factor family.1 It is composed of an N-terminal nuclear import sequence, a hexapeptide region, and a homeodomain.2 CDX2 is expressed in intestinal epithelial cells and is required for intestinal tract development and function, such as membrane permeability and local inflammation.1,3 Knockout of Cdx2 is embryonic lethal in mice.3 CDX2 has been used as a diagnostic marker for colon cancer.4 Lack of CDX2 expression is correlated with poor prognosis in patients with Stage II or III colon cancer.5 Cayman's CDX2 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (Clone RM495) can be used for immunohistochemistry (IHC).
