Cbz-Gly-Pro-Arg-pNA is a colorimetric substrate for proteases, including thrombin and mast cell tryptase.1,2 Proteases preferentially bind to and cleave the Gly-Pro-Arg (GPR) peptide sequence to release p-nitroanilide (pNA), which can be quantified by colorimetric detection at 405 nm as a measure of protease activity.
