    Product Description

    KF38789 is an inhibitor of P-selectin-mediated cell adhesion.1 It inhibits the binding of U937 cells to immobilized P-selectin immunoglobin (IC50 = 1.97 µM). It is selective for P-selectin-mediated cell adhesion over E- and or L-selectin-mediated adhesion of U937 and HL-60 cells, respectively, at 100 µM. KF38789 (0.1-10 µM) decreases P-selectin-induced production of superoxide by isolated human polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMNs). It reduces the proliferation of T47D triple-negative breast and HCT116 colon cancer cells (EC50s = 0.41 and 0.56 µM, respectively).2 KF38789 (1 mg/kg) also reduces PMN infiltration into the peritoneum in a mouse model of thioglycollate-induced peritonitis.1
