    LAP is a photoinitiator.1,2 Upon UV activation, LAP dissociates into benzoyl radicals, which induce polymerization. LAP has been used to induce polymerization and hardening of methacrylated hydrogels for vascular tissue engineering and the development of stem cell spheroids.
