    Product Description

    Trovirdine is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI).1 It inhibits HIV-1 wild-type reverse transcriptase (RT; IC50 = 0.017 µM) and the mutants RTL100I, RTE138R, RTY181C, RTY188H (IC50s = 0.43, 0.22, 2.5, and 0.2 µM, respectively). Trovirdine (5 mg/kg) delays p27 antigenemia and the appearance of anti-simian immunodeficiency virus (anti-SIV) antibodies in rhesus monkeys infected with transgenic SIV expressing HIV-1 RT.2 It is also active against T. gondii (IC50 = 18.89 µM).3
