    Product Description

    Mazethramycin B is an antitumor antibiotic that has been isolated from S. thioluteus.1 It is active against nine bacteria, including S. aureus, B. subtilis, and K. pneumoniae (MICs = 3.12, 1.56, and 3.12 mg/ml, respectively), and the fungus C. pseudotropicalis (MIC = 6.25 mg/ml). Mazethramycin B (31.3 mg/kg per day) increases survival in a L1210 murine leukemia model.
