    Product Description

    Ceftobiprole medocaril is a water-soluble prodrug form of the cephalosporin antibiotic ceftobiprole.1 In vivo, ceftobiprole medocaril (71 mg/kg) reduces the number of lung colony-forming units (CFUs) in mouse models of pneumonia induced by H. influenzae, E. cloacae, or K. pneumoniae. Formulations containing ceftobiprole medocaril have been used in the treatment of acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections and community-acquired bacterial pneumonia.
