    Bevonescein is a peptide-dye conjugate for the visualization of intact and degenerated nerves.1 It is composed of a synthetic 17-amino acid peptide conjugated to 5-carboxy fluorescein (5-FAM; Item No. 19581) and displays excitation/emission maxima of 488/530 nm.2,3 Bevonescein (900 nmol/animal) has been used to identify degenerated nerves via real-time fluorescence imaging in mice in a model of facial nerve transection.1
