    Ethylene glycol is a cryopreservation agent and synthetic intermediate.1,2 It has commonly been used as a major component of antifreeze and coolant.1 In the lab, ethylene glycol has been used as a cryopreservation agent for various organs and tissues.2,3,4 It has also been used as a precursor to polymers and in the synthesis of nanomaterials, among many other uses.1 This product is also available as part of Cayman's Tissue Cryopreservation Reagent Kit (Item No. 502885).
