3-(2-Furoyl)quinoline-2-carboxaldehyde is a reactive probe for the derivatization of primary amines.1 3-(2-Furoyl)quinoline-2-carboxaldehyde reacts with primary amines to form fluorescent isoindoles, which display excitation/emission maxima of 490/590 nm, respectively. 3-(2-Furoyl)quinoline-2-carboxaldehyde has been used for protein labeling.2
