Cytochalasin Z2 is a fungal metabolite that has been found in P. semeniperda and has anticancer activity.1 It inhibits the growth of OE21 esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, U373 MG glioblastoma, A549 lung cancer, B16/F10 melanoma, and Hs 683 glioma cancer cells (IC50s = 70, 86, 99, 29, and 94 µM, respectively).
