    Aquastatin C is a fungal metabolite that has been found in Sporothix.1 Unlike aquastatin A (Item No. 33253), aquastatin C does not inhibit bacterial enoyl-ACP reductases, including S. aureus enoyl-acyl carrier protein reductase (Fabl; IC50 = >100 µM), and is not active against S. aureus, methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA), or S. pneumoniae (MICs = >128 for all).
