    Product Description

Alkyne-phenol is a probe for APEX2 proximity labeling.1 In proximity labeling assays, alkyne-phenol is acted on by APEX2, an engineered peroxidase that catalyzes the generation of a free radical on the phenolic oxygen, forming a compound that reacts with molecules within a 10-20 nm radius. The alkyne moiety of this compound can be conjugated to azide-tagged fluorophores to label the proximity target. Alkyne-phenol has been used for proximity labeling of RNA in bacteria.

WARNING This product is not for human or veterinary use.
