    Product Description

    Membrane-associated RING-CH-type finger 6 (MARCH6) is an E3 ubiquitin ligase.1,2 It is composed of an N-terminal C4HC3-type RING domain, which has catalytic activity, and 14 transmembrane domains. MARCH6 is ubiquitously expressed and localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER).1,3 It plays a role in ER-associated degradation (ERAD), where it targets substrates involved in cholesterol synthesis and trafficking, lipid droplet formation, bile salt transport, thyroid hormone activation, and G-protein signaling for proteasomal degradation.1,4 MARCH6 is also involved NADPH sensing, ferroptosis, and redox homeostasis.5 Intratumoral expression of MARCHF6 is increased in a variety of cancers, and intronic TTTTA/TTTCA repeat expansions in MARCHF6 are associated with familial adult myoclonic epilepsy (FAME).5,6 Cayman’s MARCH6 Monoclonal Antibody (Clone 26F12C) can be used for immunofluorescence (IF) and Western blot (WB) applications. The antibody recognizes MARCH6 at approximately 75 kDa from human samples using 4-20% SDS-PAGE.
