Lirioresinol A dimethyl ether is a lignan that has been found in H. nymphaeifolia and has diverse biological activities.1,2,3 It inhibits the aggregation of isolated rabbit platelets induced by platelet-activating factor (PAF), collagen, or arachidonic acid (Item Nos. 90010 | 90010.1 | 10006607) when used at a concentration of 100 µM.1 Lirioresinol A dimethyl ether inhibits the proliferation of SK-MEL-147 melanoma cells (IC50 = 13.09 µg/ml) and induces cell cycle arrest at the G2/M phase in the same cells.2 It is active against L. amazonensis and L. braziliensis intracellular amastigotes (IC50s = 22.6 and 74.4 µM, respectively).3
