NBD-Phosphatidylethanolamine is a phosphatidylethanolamine isolated from chicken egg that has been labeled with an N-linked fluorescent nitrobenzoxadiazole (NBD) group. NBD-phosphatidylethanolamines can be used in assays that monitor membrane fusion and aggregation in cells and to study the role of lipids in membrane fluidity.1 NBD displays excitation/emission maxima of 460/538 nm, respectively. This product contains L-α-phosphatidylethanolamine molecular species with primarily C16:0, C18:0, C18:1, C18:2, and C20:4 fatty acyl chains.
