    Product Description

    UM4118 is a copper ionophore.1 It induces the uptake of copper in OCI-AML-5 acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cells when used at a concentration of 2 µM. It inhibits growth (IC50 = 1.1 µM) and induces a noncanonical form of cell death known as cuproptosis in OCI-AML-5 cells. UM4118-containing copper(II) complexes are cytotoxic to undifferentiated SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells at a concentration of 1 µM.2
