    Product Description

The cullin 2 RING ligase (CRL2) complex is an E3 ubiquitin ligase complex.1,2 It is composed of a von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) E3 ligase, a substrate recognition receptor that interacts with elongin B and -C, cullin 2 as the scaffold, and RING box protein 1 (RBX1), which binds to ubiquitin-loaded E2.1 NEDDylation of cullin 2 alters the conformation of cullin 2 and RBX1 to promote ubiquitin transfer to the CRL2 substrate.2 The CRL2 complex is involved in germline development and viral infection.1 A SNP in CUL2, the gene encoding cullin 2, is associated with an increased risk for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.3 Cayman’s Cullin 2/RBX1 Complex (human, recombinant) can be used for enzyme activity assays.
