    Product Description

1-Palmitoyl-2-linoleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine Epoxides MaxSpec® LC-MS Mixture (Item No. 45891) is a mixture containing epoxides resulting from mCPBA-mediated epoxidation. It also contains the unoxidized phospholipid, 1-palmitoyl-2-linoleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine (1,2-PLPE; Item No. 10007072). It may be used as a reference standard for LC-MS to identify phospholipids containing esterified oxylipins in samples derived from a natural source. The mixture is provided as a 1 ml ethanolic solution at 100 µg/ml in an amber ampule in which the headspace has been purged with argon to prevent further lipid oxidation. After opening, it is recommended that the mixture be transferred immediately to a glass screw cap vial to prevent solvent evaporation and stored at -20°C, avoiding multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Ongoing stability testing is performed throughout the shelf life of the product. NOTE: The amount of solution added to the vial is in excess of the listed amount. Follow recommended storage and handling conditions to maintain product quality.
