Explore CGMP Lipid ServicesLipid 392 is a lung-targeted ionizable cationic lipid that has been used in the generation of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) for the delivery of mRNA, single-guide (sgRNA), or siRNA in vivo.1 Simplified targeted LNPs (stLNPs) containing lipid 392 and encapsulating Cre recombinase mRNA are delivered to the lung, resulting in gene editing efficiencies of approximately 68, 70, and 32% for lung endothelial, epithelial, and immune cells, respectively, in Ai14 reporter mice. Lipid 392-containing stLNPs encapsulating IL-10 mRNA reduce lung inflammation and damage in a mouse model of acute lung injury.
