DOWNLOAD NOWOxyclozanide is a salicylanilide anthelmintic.1,2 In vitro, it uncouples oxidative phosphorylation in rat liver mitochondria and increases oxygen uptake and death in sheep river flukes (F. hepatica).1 Oxyclozanide (22.5 mg/kg) decreases the survival of rumen fluke (C. daubneyi) larvae and adult worms by 82 and 95.9%, respectively, in goats.2 Formulations containing oxyclozanide have been used in the treatment of fascioliasis in cattle, sheep, and goats.
