Explore how neutrophils shape the immune response in health and disease. This poster highlights neutrophil pathogen defense mechanisms, including phagocytosis, degranulation, and NETosis, as well as neutrophil roles in inflammation and NET-associated pathologies.
DOWNLOAD NOWCurculigoside is a phenolic glycoside that has been found in C. orchioides and has diverse biological activities.1,2,3,4,5 It scavenges hydroxyl radicals and superoxide anions in cell-free assays (IC50s = 0.54 and 1.35 mM, respectively).1 Curculigoside protects against NMDA-induced excitotoxicity in primary mouse cortical neurons and decreases learning and memory deficits in aged rats.2,3 It decreases disease severity and inhibits colonic ferroptosis in a mouse model of ulcerative colitis at 100 mg/kg.4 Curculigoside reduces matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9), inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), NF-κB, and NOD-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) levels in a mouse model of osteoarthritis.5
