    Product Description

    Felypressin is a peptide arginine vasopressin (AVP) V1A receptor agonist and derivative of lysipressin (Item No. 37430).1 It is a vasoconstrictor that induces the pressor response in rats at 240 ng/kg, an effect that can be reversed by a V1A receptor antagonist. Felypressin increases blood pressure but does not affect heart rate in normotensive rats, hypertensive rats, or hypertensive rats administered atenolol.2 Formulations containing felypressin have been used in combination with local anesthetics for dental procedures.
