    Product Description

Fast blue RR salt is a colorimetric probe for the detection of phenolic compounds.1,2,3 Upon a diazo coupling reaction with phenolic compounds, it forms azo-containing complexes that can be quantified by colorimetric detection at wavelengths that depend on the phenolic compound. Fast blue RR salt has been used to detect esterase activity and the presence of phenol-containing compounds in vitro.
