    Product Description

    GIBH-130 is a neuroprotective agent that inhibits the production of IL-1β in LPS-stimulated N9 microglia (IC50 = 3.4 nM).1 It increases IL-4 levels and reduces IL-6 levels in hippocampal homogenates from mice injected with amyloid-β (1-42) (Aβ42) and restores neuronal morphology in neurons from the same mice. Oral administration of GIBH-130 improves short- and long-term memory, visual recognition memory, and spatial reference memory in an APP/PS1 transgenic mouse model and a rat model of Alzheimer’s disease.
