    Product Description

    Sominone is a withanolide that has been found in W. somnifera and has diverse biological activities.1,2,3 It is also an active metabolite of withanoside IV.1 Sominone inhibits the proliferation of MT-1 and MT-2 leukemia cells (EC50s = 37.8 and 35.3 µM, respectively).2 It reverses amyloid-β (Aβ) (25-35)-induced decreases in neurite outgrowth and synapse numbers in primary rat cortical neurons at 1 µM.1 Sominone (10 µmol/kg) enhances spatial memory in mice.3
