COX-2 (human) Inhibitor Screening Assay Kit

The COX-2 (human) Inhibitor Screening Assay directly measures PGF_2α by stannous chloride (SnCl₂) reduction of COX-derived PGH₂ produced in the COX reaction. The prostanoid product is quantified via ELISA using an antiserum specific to PGF_2α.

This assay includes recombinant human COX-2 and is an excellent tool for a general COX-2 inhibitor screening. It will also help to eliminate false positive leads generated by less specific methods.

Needed but not supplied: Please download the kit booklet to verify if UltraPure Water (Milli-Q or equivalent) or any other components are needed for this assay.
