    Product Description

    The COX-1 (ovine) Inhibitor Screening Assay directly measures PGF2α by stannous chloride reduction of COX-derived PGH2 produced in the COX reaction. The prostanoid product is quantified via enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using an antiserum specific to PGF2α.

    This assay includes recombinant ovine COX-1 and is an excellent tool for a general COX-1 inhibitor screening. It will also help to eliminate false positive leads generated by less specific methods.

    Needed but not supplied: Please download the kit booklet to verify if UltraPure Water (Milli-Q or equivalent) or any other components are needed for this assay.
