    Isosorbide-2-nitrate is a nitric oxide (NO) donor and an active metabolite of isosorbide dinitrate (Item No. 23990).1,2 It inhibits potassium chloride- or angiotensin II-induced contraction of rabbit aortic strips and vasopressin-induced coronary spasm in isolated rabbit hearts when used at concentrations of 100 and 1,000 µM.
