    Product Description

    Dihomo-γ-linolenic acid ethyl ester (ethyl DGLA) is an ester form of the ω-6 fatty acid intermediate DGLA (Item No. 90230). Dietary administration of ethyl DGLA (1 g/kg per day for 25 days) increases prostaglandin E1 (PGE1; Item No. 13010 ) and PGE2 (Item No. 14010) secretion in rabbit renal papilla.1 Ethyl DGLA (1 g/kg per day) increases triglyceride levels and the proportion of 20:3ω6 and 20:4ω6 phospholipids of the renal medulla in rabbits. Formulations containing ethyl DGLA have been used in the treatment of eczema and inflammatory disorders.
