    Product Description

Sibutramine (hydrochloride) (Item No. 14476) is an analytical reference standard categorized as a phenylethylamine. It inhibits reuptake of serotonin (Item No. 14332) and norepinephrine (Item No. 16673) via the respective transporters.1 Sibutramine can be detected in plasma and urine.2,3 Formulations containing sibutramine were previously used as anorexiants for obesity but its use was terminated due to adverse cardiovascular events.1 Sibutramine is regulated as a Schedule IV compound in the United States. This product is intended for research and forensic applications.

WARNING This product is not for human or veterinary use.
