    Product Description

Prednisolone phosphate is a prodrug form of the synthetic glucocorticoid prednisolone (Item No. 20866) and a derivative of prednisone (Item No. 20677).1 It is hydrolyzed to prednisolone in vivo. Prednisolone phosphate (10 mg/kg), administered in long-circulating liposomes, decreases inflammation and the levels of IL-1β in the synovium, as well as reduces damage to the cartilage matrix in a mouse model of antigen-induced arthritis.2 It also reduces tumor growth in B16/F10 melanoma and C26 colon carcinoma mouse models when administered in long-circulating liposomes at a dose of 20 mg/kg.3 Formulations containing prednisolone phosphate have been used as anti-inflammatory or immunosuppressive agents.

WARNING This product is not for human or veterinary use.
