    1,2-Hexadecanediol is a hydroxyl-substituted hexadecane.1,2 It has been used with iron (III) acetylacetonate in the synthesis of monodisperse iron-, cobalt-, or manganese-containing lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) or cobalt-iron nanocrystals.1,2 Formulations containing 1,2-hexadecanediol have been used as hair and skin conditioners.
